If you have edema, lymphedema, or significant swelling following cancer treatment, you know it can cause pain, discomfort, heaviness, and decreased range of motion. Manual lymph drainage (MLD) can help bring down the swelling and offer you some relief.
MLD is a gentle, repetitive stretching of the skin that helps redirect the flow of lymph. Treatment usually consists of 30-45 minutes per affected area. Some clients come in for treatments only when they have a flare-up, while others choose to have regular sessions to keep their symptoms in check.
I provide manual lymph drainage massage at my Louisville office (by appointment only), or I can come to your home, hospital, or care facility.
